Zing Into Spring - May 4, 2008
This brand new event, sponsored by First Bank, the WDM Chamber and WDM Parks & Recreation, is a family fitness and wellness event featuring a 5K fun run, 1 mile walk and health fair, headquartered on the lawn of City Hall. There will be tons of fun for the whole family with a kids zing zone, a DJ spinning the tunes, and much more. Bring your old eye glasses and hearing aids to donate as Lions Club will have a drop box available. This is a fundraising event for the WDM Chamber with a percentage of the proceeds this year being donated to help send Coach Qiao (the coach of WDM’s own Olympic hopeful, Shawn Johnson) to Beijing for the 2008 Olympics. Registration fee for the run/walk is $20 for adults and $15 for kids.
